Privacy Notice
LibertyGreen respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Information collected
What we collect and why
When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, work email address, organisation, enquiry type and message. Providing this information is voluntary, but we cannot respond without the required contact details.
We process this information to assess, route, respond to and maintain a record of your enquiry. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing without your permission.
Enquiry handling
How your submission is handled
Your submission generates a notification to heyden@libertygreen.co.za and is stored in LibertyGreen's Google Workspace environment. You will see an on-screen confirmation after submission; we do not currently send an automated acknowledgement email.
The information is processed because you voluntarily submit it and because doing so is necessary to respond to the enquiry and pursue the legitimate interests of you and LibertyGreen.
Storage and service providers
Who processes the information
LibertyGreen uses service providers, including GoDaddy for website hosting and Google for workspace, storage and notification services. These providers process information on our behalf and may process or store it outside South Africa. LibertyGreen uses their services subject to applicable data-protection terms and takes reasonable steps to ensure that cross-border processing receives protection consistent with POPIA.
Access is limited to authorised persons who need the information to handle the enquiry, administer the relevant services or meet a legal obligation.
Retention and protection
How long we keep it
Enquiry records will normally be retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless an active business relationship or legal obligation requires longer retention. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or de-identified.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
Your rights
Access, correction and objection
You may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access to or correction of it, withdraw consent, object to its processing, or request deletion where applicable. Contact heyden@libertygreen.co.za.
If you believe that your information has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.
